I also have ZE-512s and have heard the same...
but discounttiredirect.com still sells the ZE-512s in both 195/50/15 and 
185/60/14.
they also have user reviews on thier site and one for the 912 is from a
512 
user that sumed it up as the 512 was designed for handeling and grip and
the 
912 for comfort and noise.
