Uh, what exactly is it you are trying to see anyway? It's 'night time'.
The 
only im****tant thing back there is the headlights of the cars behind you.
If 
some lunatic is coming up astern at warp speed without headlights on, you 
probably aren't going to notice them anyway - it's dark out. 

Personally, I think heated seats are God's gift to those of us living in 
colder climes. I also think headlight washers need to be required.
Probably 
wouldn't think so if I lived in So Cal, but I live in Maine. :-)
