Heya guys,
I have an '89 GXL and this morning the power antenna decided to stop
working. It went up when I turned the radio on, and now it's stuck in the
up position. I can still hear the motor spinning like it should when I
turn
the radio on and off, but the antenna stays up.
Wanting to remove the antenna to see if the push/pull mechanism for the
mast
had gotten off track or broke, I tried to remove the antenna from the car.
The trouble is I can't get the mast to push down. I tried manually
pu****ng
down on it while having a friend turn the radio off, but it doesn't want
to
catch. Is there a trick to getting it to lower?
