INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (Dec. 3, 2007)-With the new year quickly
approaching,

"We're trying to give our teams a variety of venues on which to test in
addition to giving them the op****tunity to test on some of the tracks
where
we race," said Tony Cotman, Champ Car's Race Director and Executive Vice
President, Operations. "They're all excellent facilities for testing
purposes and I feel that each circuit has something different to offer in
terms of providing conditions that will allow them to prepare for the
upcoming races. We're also happy to showcase our drivers, teams and cars
in
markets where we'll race, to give the fans an early taste of the 2008
Champ
Car product."
The Houston and ****tland dates have been added to the previously announced
schedule for testing days at Sebring, Fla., and Monterey, Cal.
On Feb. 2-4, Champ Car teams will test at the historic Sebring

teams
will follow at Sebring Feb. 5-6.
Champ Car's annual "Spring Training" event will be held March 10-14 at the
famed Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca near Monterey, site of the May 18 Champ

--------------------------------------------------------
Gee, the Laguna Seca event was a pretty cool event last year because of
DP01
arrival on the track for the first time. Not to mention breaking the
formula
one track record set by the very wealthly Toytoa team just a few months
earlier.
This year's Laguna Seca is an absolutely must attend spring training event
for teams because teams will be racing on the very SAME track about two
months later. This means the testing will be invaluable, and even just
watching how the grid plays out will give hints as to how qualifying will
play out two months later...
This is going to be one heck of a great spring training event.
