He had a non voting seat in the early 90s, but that is what started
the split. He wanted a voting seat...as I remember it, he wanted 2 or
3 voting seats. When they didn't give him even one seat, he became
morose over the humiliation of the slight  and began his plans of a
new vision. It's too bad his new vision was exactly like the old
vision except he was in charge.

IMHO, if they had given the stooge just one voting seat on the board,
he probably wouldn't have taken his track and gone home in a huff. It
was a bad move on all parties involved.
