sour grapes?  Bourdais is long gone making ten times what he did here
and clearly is heading to where he belongs in racing.

coming from a person who clearly favors only road courses with a name
like that ( no wonder nobody takes you seriously).  CART tried to do
what was needed to keep open wheel racing up with NASCAR.  Oh wait,
you're probably a NASCAR fan,  so you don't understand REAL racing
with REAL race cars...

bourdais is right.  its pretty obvious this transition is a win-win
for the IRL.  existing teams will stay at the top of the pile,  new
teams will struggle and hopefully will survive and TV ratings should
go up because the "ricky bobby's" of the world will actually be able
to find open wheel US racing on ABC/ESPN.

I bet you believe that the reason villenueve,  tracy and other open
wheel racers aren't making it in NASCAR because they're not real
racers?  lets face it,  the good ole boys put hurt on newbies in their
club.  you have tio learn to cheat to win in NASCAR.  blocking
doesn';t exist and team orders are the norm.  Let's push that alltel
car to the front with miller lite  instead of letting home depot race
with the alltel.  that is all NASCAR fans understand.  they justify it
by knowing the driver's names and thinking the cars actually are a
dodge, ford or chevy...
