missing the point. CART wasn't a spec series until IRL showed up with
their alledged two chassis, two engine non turbo combo that was
supposed ***LOWER*** costs and ***RAISE*** amaerican participation.
sure did that, didn't it? they can't even combine the two series
with the cars as is. they have to shove more crapwagons at the other
to try and save it.

missed it again. good ole boys are the ones causing the problems.
they're now the front runners. I wasn't talking the original GOB,
its the guys and teams who win who make sure their teammates cause
problems for the better racers who could win if there actually were
blocking and other rules enforces instead of the post race impound
farce that nascar uses to make it look like they enforce parity. only
robby gordon gets on track penalties, but then he deserves it for
being so blatent about his resistance to accept the crap the nascar
"regulars" dish out.

I tivo a few races, fast forwarding thru much of it. yeah I watch
the superspeedway races. won't deny that, I have watched then since
I was a kid. afterall, I did state previously that roundyrounds are
an american racing phenom and it can be entertaining. but REAL racing
means turning right. so I am a purist in that regard.

yeah, sure they do. happens to jeff gordon all the time. happened
once to earnhardt and it killed him. unfortunate that a roundy round
talent like that who was just getting his taste of road racing snuffed
out like that. you'd think they'd have learned. oh, no, people
watch for the crashes.
I think truly that't they only thing IRL has going for it. passing.
nascar has an idea with the COT but time will tell. still gotta get
rid of the dangerous driving and enforce a blocking rule.

not really. hate is such a harsh word. I don't like what I have seen
go on in open wheel and yes, I don't like having an #800 gorilla
dominating the racing scene. so many nascar diehards out there who
refuse to believe there is any other kind of racing out there. it
truly threatens some of the most beautiful race tracks all over the
world because nascar won't bring their show there, when if more
people actually understood road racing and watched it, places like
****tland, laguna seca, riverside many east coast tracks would still
exist if there was more power to keep them alive.
