Let's see, Montoya was an IRL Champion (the 500, '00),
DeFerran was an IRL Champion (the 500, '03), Andretti
was an IRL Champion (AGR owner with both multiple Indy
500 and series champion****ps). Looking at the alphabet soup
series, (even prior to '03): Zanardi failed horribly in each of
his F1 forays (once almost killing himself), was summarily
expelled (twice) and then almost killed himself again upon his
return. DaMatta failed horribly, was expelled and was also
almost killed upon his return (notice a trend here?) EVERY
driver on a single IRL team last year, AGR, (including a
previous teammate, Wheldon) had either actually tested an
F1 car or was invited to do so. CCWSOWRSCC (looks
like a typo) post '03 "proudly" featured unknown, no name
also-rans like Doornbos. After 4 consecutive so called
champion****ps, the frightened driver who famously stated:
"I would not want to compete in the IRL because it is very
dangerous on the ovals" (sounds like he escaped JIT),
finally received an offer (of sorts), and promptly jumped
at the chance, with a traditonal F1 bottom dweller.

> IRL is a joke

And yet the IRL was far superior to the aforementioned
(evidenced by the former's survival and absorption of the
latter) which, at a minimum, must make that latter at least
something even less than a joke.
