She was in it, and finished 14th. Here's the box score:

No qualifying times, but her lifetime stats suggest she qualified:

Stats also suggest she finished, as does "flagged" in the box score
(albeit 22 laps down). I saw that race on TV, and distinctly remember
them flagging her off before the end as too slow. I guess the record
keepers weren't too detail minded back then.
Note that she did beat Foyt, as did Guthrie one year at Indy. :-)
Despite all that, I concur that it was a stunt. IMHO, a pretty slimy
thing to pull on Guthrie.
