I have a really inexpensive battery charger.. For most batteries, it can 
reestablish charge
in 2-4 hours.

In a few cases, I have left the unit on charge "overnight".  But, if you 
cant reestablish function in that period of time, you need to think in
terms 
of a new battery.

Batteries are NOT what they used to be.
